Willingham is a large, flat fenland village where agricultural buildings, paddocks and wide open plots make point-to-point wireless links a highly practical connectivity solution.
The village has a strong smallholding and equestrian character, with many properties running stables, workshop buildings or storage barns across their land. These structures are often too far from the house for a standard Wi-Fi extender to be effective, and laying cable across yards or paddocks is costly and disruptive to maintain. A point-to-point wireless link between buildings is far more robust in this kind of working environment.
Fenland terrain is excellent for wireless links - the flat landscape means almost no line-of-sight obstructions, and links of 100 metres or more are routine here. We still carry out a site check before installation, but Willingham's geography rarely throws up surprises.
