How we work
Installed properly, and written down
A lot of connectivity problems we come across stem from poor planning at the outset - routers placed in the wrong part of a building, cables run without thought for signal distribution, or mesh systems sold when a properly structured wired network would serve far better. We take time to assess each property before we recommend anything, so the solution fits the problem rather than the other way round.
On every job we start with a survey of the space - checking wall types, floor construction and any existing cabling - before deciding on the best approach. For homes we often find that running ethernet to key rooms and placing access points strategically gives far better coverage than any off-the-shelf wireless kit. In commercial premises we work around business hours where possible to keep disruption to a minimum.
We use quality cabling and hardware throughout, and every installation is tested before we leave the site. If something is not performing as it should, we want to know about it. We keep our work tidy, labelling cables and leaving the installation in a state that any engineer can follow if it ever needs to be extended or modified in the future.
