Network Testing, Labelling and Documentation in Saffron Walden
Saffron Walden is one of Essex's most attractive market towns, and its well-preserved historic buildings and growing professional community both present good reasons to get your network infrastructure properly tested and recorded.
Much of the town centre consists of timber-framed and Georgian buildings where cable routing is rarely straightforward - runs take indirect paths through floor voids and roof spaces, and what was installed years ago is often a mystery to current occupants. Nearby villages including Thaxted and Great Chesterford add to the area we cover, and properties across the district share similar challenges.
Our testing confirms the performance of every cable run, our labelling makes each port identifiable at a glance, and our documentation gives building owners and their IT contacts a reliable reference for future changes or fault-finding. In historic buildings particularly, a clear network record saves considerable time and disruption.
What you get
- A look at the building before we quote, so the figure is based on what is actually there.
- A free written quote, with what is included and what is not.
- Work planned around the people using the building.
- A walk-through at handover and the documents for what was installed.
What is not included
Written down on the quote, so nothing on this list turns up later as a surprise.
- The internet line itself. That stays with your broadband or leased line provider, and we work with whatever you have.
- Building work such as new ceilings or redecorating. If a cable route needs it, the quote says so.
- Day-to-day support for your computers and laptops. That is your IT provider's job, and we are happy to work alongside them.
