Data and network cabling in Cottenham
Cottenham is one of north Cambridgeshire's larger villages, with a long high street and a range of housing from Victorian terraces to substantial post-war and modern estates.
The long, linear layout of older Cottenham properties often means that getting a cable from the front of the house to a rear study or ground-floor extension is more involved than it looks. We plan the route before we start and work cleanly, making good any surfaces that need opening up.
The village has grown significantly in recent decades, and many households now include people working from home full-time who need a reliable wired connection rather than a Wi-Fi signal that varies depending on where they sit. We cover Cottenham and the neighbouring villages of Rampton, Willingham and Oakington.
What you get
- A look at the building before we quote, so the figure is based on what is actually there.
- A free written quote, with what is included and what is not.
- Work planned around the people using the building.
- A walk-through at handover and the documents for what was installed.
What is not included
Written down on the quote, so nothing on this list turns up later as a surprise.
- The internet line itself. That stays with your broadband or leased line provider, and we work with whatever you have.
- Building work such as new ceilings or redecorating. If a cable route needs it, the quote says so.
- Day-to-day support for your computers and laptops. That is your IT provider's job, and we are happy to work alongside them.
