Bar Hill is a planned village built from the late 1960s, with consistent modern construction throughout that makes it one of the more straightforward areas for installing additional data cabling.
Because Bar Hill was designed and built as a single development, the properties share a similar construction style - cavity walls, timber floors and accessible roof voids that make routing Cat6 cable cleanly a manageable job. That said, properties are now getting on in years and some of the original network provision is showing its age, with older wiring that is worth replacing properly rather than adding to.
The village also has a commercial area with offices and retail units where structured cabling is a practical need for any growing business. We cover Bar Hill and the surrounding villages including Boxworth, Longstanton and Dry Drayton.
